Subject: "Reply from the same address" enhancement requested
The function "Reply from the same address the message was sent to"
will automatically choose the proper "Send Mail As:" account if and
only if the "From:" matches one of the "Send Mail As:" account. While
the basic idea makes sense, it doesn't handle mail aliases properly in
the following situation:

[email address] --> This is the real account and has been configured as
a "Send Mail As" account
[email address] --> This is simply an alias of [email address]

When E-mails going in through [email address], "Reply from the same
address" works fine. However when E-mails going in through
[email address], the default Send Mail As account is used in replying
instead of the desiring [email address]. I have tried to add
[email address] as another Send Mail As account, but since the real
username-password duplicates with a, Gmail doesn't allow me to do so.

I wish E-mails going to [email address] can be replied from
[email address]. It's not perfect but much better if it can be replied
from [email address] rather than the default Send Mail As account. I
hope some enhancements to deal with this mail-aliases-problem can be
available in the future. Thank you.

Sorry, I didn't know that E-mail addresses will be replaced as [email
address] in this forum.

In my previous post, I would like to give an example as following:
A --> the real account and configured as a Send Mail As account
B --> an alias of A

The problem is that "Reply from the same address the message was sent
to" can not deal with those E-mails going to B (in this case the
default Send Mail As account will be used since no Send Mail As
account corresponding to B is configured). However, B is the desirable
one when replying to those E-mails going to B. I have tried to add B
as another Send Mail As account to address this, but since the real
username of account B is the same with A, Gmail didn't allow me to do
so.

You should be able to add B as another 'Send mail as' account.  Add
the address and verify it.
What happens when you try, that prevents it from working?
