Reader/Docs/etc. works spendidly, access to gmail via imap works, but
no gmail proper. I get stuck when loading the page even before the
progress bar schows up. It seems that the mobile version is affected
as well.

Same in VA USA 7:39am EST. Gmail in browser doesn't work. Error
message: please check your internet connection (which is 53000kbps).
Google talk works and can view mail on the server (pop).
