Happening to me also. I agree it is just an annoyance, but it worries
me a little, since I have no idea of the cause.
I have 17 different "accounts", i.e., different addresses I can use
for the "From". So far, I have only seen this message when using my
default.
If I had to guess, I would say it happens less than 10% of the time
for me, but it could be that high. I see it daily or more often
anyway. And it works immediately when I retry.... so far.
I get this message every time I hit 'reply to all'.
But the bigger problem is that I can't send messages to a list I am
subscribed to. No problems sending an email using Outlook but not
under gmail. I am IMAPing all messages to another hosting company.
Does anyone know if this has something to do with the problem?

I am having the same problem but I can't fix it. It says it every
single time I try to send a message using my groups that I created. I
noticed that it is not putting the whole email address in the goups
list. I have to manually change some of the email addresses so it
will send. I checked and the addresses are correct in the email
addressed saved. What is going on?

It can be worth while using the Print All facility in "Contacts" to
have a look at the addresses and checking them (you don't have to
print - use the preview print facility) which might show the errors
and then you can edit them.

I get this too. The From address is perfectly valid (it's
[email address], not [email address]), and selecting it from the
pulldown again seems to always eliminate the generator of the /The
"From" address is invalid. Please choose a valid one./
I think I only see this error:
Error
The "From" address is invalid. Please choose a valid one.
when I 'Reply', 'Save Now', then re-open the saved message in
'Drafts'.
Something about saving it to a draft makes it get tagged as invalid.
And I see now that I don't need to use the pulldown to make the "From"
valid again, just hitting 'Send' once more does work.

I checked the addresses in the contacts and they are correct. It just
says they are wrong only when I try to send them something in the
group. It works when I send them an email straight to them and not in
the group. This is frustrating.
