R.I.P. “Woody” James Woods

My friend Woody passed from this world on Memorial Day.  He was one of the
first musicians and friends I made after I got to Eureka.  We played music
together many times in Old Town.  Good times.  Woody had a wonderful gravel
voice, he had far more talent than he believed he had, he was also a
talented songsmith and guitarist.  I sure hope someone has a recording or a
video of his Eureka song it was a classic that should be preserved.  I could
never talk him into letting me record it.  Not that he didn’t want me to do
it, but naturally he wanted to record it first, and who could blame him for
that?
