to Garden Club at UTD
Alright! The newest season is just getting started and many of you
have already planted or are doing so. Things are off to a good
though somewhat slow start. Lets take this year to make this garden
spectacular! I've been around to the other community gardens and I
have to say that we have the potential to be the most impressive (not
including size). Mrs. Rachavong will be watching us this season to
see if the garden is worth further investments. Lets prove to her
that we are! Make sure your plots are properly maintained and if you
need plants or seeds please tell me. We also need more publicity so
I need a volunteer to man a booth weekly for just about two hours
during lunch time where we can have a couple of little things from the
garden, pictures, and information. We need more people to flesh out
the plots and we need to get the side beds planted. Hopefully Don
will be able to come out this weekend and give us a hand.
So tell your friends (if you havent already) and any who might be
interested. We will need to flier phase 8 and find some way of
attracting more freshmen and new blood (old or young it does not
matter). Lets use this year to impress the administration and breath
new life into this child of ours!
Im also taking nominations and volunteers from those who will be here
the next two years for presidents. We will be keeping with the co-
president thing we already have but Laura is leaving soon and I will
be soon to follow. If you would be willing to take on this task,
please call me as I need to pass on all the information I have accrued
during my term. If your even considering it but are not sure, please
contact me.
peace,
tj
