Hi All,

I notice that in several plots the tomatoes and squash are ripening and cantelopes are about the size of a woman's hand.

 

How large are melons supposed to get and is it better to pluck them a little before?

 

I'm plucking my tomatoes a little after they turn red otherwise some animal gets to them as soon as they are completely ripe.

 

I've been told that bell pepper seeds can be planted in the dead heat of the summer.
