Description: This is a group for beta testers of Gaia GPS.

Thanks for great app
I'm just back from five weeks of hiking from Tarifa to Elda on the GR7 in Spain, using Gaia as our only navigation tool (a March Beta version), and want to report that everything was GREAT. Gaia was good a year ago, when I started using it, and I'm thrilled that you've made many important improvements since since then. I used both CycleMap... more »

Bad bug
I took the current store release of Gaia out on a hike today, and I found a very severe bug. The trip screen showed my position in all stats and this list appeared to be growing as I was recording my track. The program also got extremely unresponsive when zooming, moving the map, etc. Any ideas what could have caused this? I trie restarting the program, the phone, etc, but to know avail - the bug persisted and is still there.... more »

spare a moment for a review!
Hey everyone, If you have a minute this week and feel inclined, we would really appreciate it if you might leave us a review on the App Store, or update your old review. These are tremendously helpful to our business. I've been thinking about being more aggressive with requesting reviews in the app, like the successful games do. I feel like we might ere to much on... more »

remove Google imagery?
Hey folks, Now that we have aerials available from a few sources, we are thinking about removing the Google source all together. What do you think about that? The reason we'd do this is because we often get requests to do all of our map functions on that source, and that would require a lot of work,... more »

improved aerial imagery zoom and bounds
Hey Morrie and everyone, I realized I had configured the new aerial source wrong, and it wasn't zooming nearly as well as it can. If you have the CalTopo Aerial source added, delete it by swiping it in the map list, and then re-add it. You will then have an additional couple zoom levels of depth! I also fixed... more »

offline aerial imagery now available in Gaia GPS (officially)
Hey folks, I wanted to let you know that we have an aerial server up and running, and it is mostly complete for the continental US. Currently, you can add the source (CalTopo Aerial) from Settings->Help->Add Topo Sources. There are other adhoc aerial sources available as well, but for this one, we have an agreement with CalTopo, and we can be confident that it will be... more »
