Subject: flash
ok i understand not allowing embedded media such as videos/music due to
copyright "stuff.." but why arent we allowed to embed flash?? it is
possible by uploading the html file with flash already embeded but what
if i want to put it on my home page? please consider this because i am
sure there arent many copyright laws being "broken" (sorry for my
english) due to flash!!
i am an *ignorant* in html coding so i BOUGHT a program that makes
flash "stuff" easily! the only problem is i cant make my spent money
useful because i wanted part of my website in flash (not the whole
thing!)
please understand my position and reply or tell me a way to do it !
thanks in advance

you are mistaken in your understanding of 'allowed'.  GPC does not
restrict embedding because of copyright laws; many people are placing
their own videos and music online, look at
http://dallasvaughan.googlepages.com who has their own MP3s for free,
legal download.

Google, for whatever reason, has not equipped the online GPC tools to
work well with embedding code or javascript; the good news is your can
still use complex bespoke embedding code and javascript if you are
willing to edit the .html files on your computer and then upload them
(NB. uploaded .html files cannot be edited within the online GPC).

If you want to put flash on your GP site, then you can embed it in a
simple .html page and upload the .html file and the .swf file.

I believe for such a thing you will have to upload a .html file of your
site with the flash coded into it. Which, if you don't have the code
for already, will require what we R&Kers refer to as a "leap of logic".
In otherwords, you're on your own. Look it up. Anyway, the code for the
flash movie can, like most knowledge for the various computer languages
of the hypertext transfer protocol, on w3schools.
