If you select Opt Out and enter a redirect URL then all of your
uploaded files will be redirected to the same file name on the site
you choose to redirect to.  You get to the Opt out screen by clicking
"Learn More" that's at the VERY top of the Google pages editor.
Warning - Once you press "Save" it's a one way trip and you can't opt
back in though you can change the redirect URL.

I don't think unpublished pages will get redirected as they don't have
a URL.

Marc

Any URL that starts with yoursite.googlepages.com will be redirected
to the corresponding address from newsite.com.

Let's say you move from sadpanda.googlepages.com to sadpanda.com and
you set up the redirects. If you try to access
sadpanda.googlepages.com/cutephoto.jpg, you'll be redirected to
sadpanda.com/cutephoto.jpg, even if cutephoto.jpg wasn't uploaded to
Google Pages.

sadpanda.googlepages.com/anything ---> sadpanda.com/anything

I can't speak for Google Sites redirects, because I have opted out,
but the opt-out redirects work for all kinds of files and all pages,
including uploaded .html pages and unpublished pages.  The unpublished
pages are saved in your zip file as "yourpagename_draft.html".  If you
upload these to your new host, (thus publishing them,) and enter
http://youroldgpcsite.googlepages.com/yourpagename_draft, it will
definitely redirect to your new page.
