Subject: Announcement: Multiple Sites Experimental Feature to be Removed
Hi All,

Because of a few issues reported by you, our users (thank you!), we've
decided to pull the multiple sites experimental feature. This will
happen sometime tomorrow morning.

What does this mean for those of you that have created multiple sites?

Nothing. Everything will still work just fine.

What does this mean for those of you that haven't created multiple
sites and want to?

For right now you won't be able to do this. Don't worry, we're working
hard to get these back.

Do you have a date that these will be available to us again?

Not right now, but as soon as we do I'll post again.

Thanks for your understanding.
Regina

That shouldn't be a problem, Regac. If you can't, let me know.

Regina, thanks for keeping the multiple sites that some of us had
created on there, I was initially under the impression that the
multiple site pages that we created would just be lost. Thanks again.

Oh, I thought of something else also. A feature that I would love to
see when you do bring the multiple sites feature back is the ability to
transfer pages. I have two sites and it would be great to somehow be
able to select a page and under actions select "transfer this page
to....." Just a suggestion as it would make maintaining multiple sites
a lot easier.

:( I was just about to make another site when this was pulled. I looked
this morning but I hadn't finalized my page name, so when I went back
this evening, I couldn't do it anymore, is there any way for this to be
put back up for another day? If not, is there a way for me to change
the address of my current website (http://nivekv.googlepages.com) that
I don't use to the one I want to use(http://cycliclub.googlepages.com)?

Thank you very much, I love G-Pages,
Nivek

I am lucky that I created 3 additional sites (sort of online shops, as
a hobby) before the Experimental Features were removed.
And I linked them all to each other;
http://choicesplus.googlepages.com/
http://bibliosense.googlepages.com/
http://thedreammall.googlepages.com/
But I also feel for the ones that couldnt make it. I hope the feature
will come back soon.
Thanks to GPC to that "everything is working just fine". Or else I
would have been bored to death. LOL.

I don't have that problem. Try this workarround:
1. Look up and you should see this on your url bar:
http://pages.google.com/manager/oregac/
2. Simple change it to:
http://pages.google.com/manager/your2ndaccountname/
This should do the trick ;)

Hi Regina,

I just got started with google pages, but having a site url which is
based on my Googgle Id makes me hesitant about spam :(

How about allowing an alias, so I don't have to worry about spam?

Best regards,

Ksantlabs

I personally wouldn't worry too much.  Google's anti-spam features are
very powerful, and I have only had one spam message get into my inbox
in the two years of using G-mail.

Unless your site is Amazon.com, spam really isn't a problem (at least
for me:)

--But I do agree that an added alias (www.yourname.com) or
(yourname.googlepages.com) would be helpful.  Not possible now since
the multiple site feature was closed down.
