Let's break out the champagne and celebrate presentations! Yes, you
heard correctly -- after a long period of waiting and wondering, we've
launched our Google Docs presentations feature.

What does this mean for us users?

Just like spreadsheets and documents, it means we can now share, edit,
and view presentations online in real time. Awesome!

No need to wait -- give it a try by clicking "New" > "Presentation"
from your Docs list.

Ready to dive in and become a presentations master? Cool -- just visit
the Help Center (docs.google.com/support ) and click the brand new
"Presentations" tab, to the right of the "Spreadsheets" tab.

Aside from being an awesome new feature, how is this going to affect
the Google Docs Help Group? In a few ways, in fact...

To make space for presentations, we've changed the structure of the
group. Here's a rundown of the new, presentations-inclusive, Google
Docs Help Group:

·  To help our Guides help you a little faster, separate "How To"
sections are now dedicated to Docs, Spreadsheets and Presentations.
Each will encompass all questions, from the very beginner, to the
inspiringly advanced.

·  Because it was often hard to tell the difference (so often personal
use cases lead to ideas, and vice-versa) "Ideas & Suggestions" and
"Share Your Story" will be combined into "Ideas, Suggestions and
Stories"

·  Since they were mostly ignored by many of those posting here, we're
cleaning house and removing "Spreadsheets Past Discussions."

Finally, as you may have expected, we couldn't expand our product
without expanding the number of Google Guides willing and able to
help. With that, I'd like to introduce myself and Chandler. We'll be
lending a hand to your old friends, Syd and Regina:

Chandler will be keeping an eye out for questions related to the Docs
list.

Google Docs Guide 4 - Steve
I'll be checking in on your presentations-related questions.

Wheew! Hope you find these changes as exciting as we do :) We know so
many big announcements can be overwhelming, but before we let you go
