Do you realise that over 40% of the messages on this Group emanate
from less than 6% of the Members?

It's unfortunate, but not surprising. Face it, there is no input from
outsiders or the greater pool of members, many of whom just aren't/
weren't chatty. I suspect that many of them have gone their own ways.
Pity.

Hi Larry

Well Eiffel's new service is scheduled to start on Thursday. See:

http://uclue.com/

However, note the ?

I guess that everyone's now too busy to bother with this place as the
trafiic is down to 437 so far this Month (approx 50%), compared to 873
in December.

Barneca chipped in with 52 before he was 'retired', so February looks
likely to be even lower.

What next?

I'm surprised at you two.

It's not quantity, but quality that counts.

That's why we so desperately need Shoaib to join us....

Although the frequent posters to the group may be few, the readership
is, I think, much larger. I have not posted very often, but I read the
messages avidly, several times a day. This group represents one of my
last links to Google Answers, and GA meant more to me than I can say.
For me, GA's demise was like the removal of a limb or the death of a
loved one. This group gives me a phantom limb, a ghost of my lost
love. Thanks to all of you who have kept things going. It means a lot
to a sick, sad Pink.

Pink, I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say that I'm glad to know
that you're keeping up with us regularly! But we all miss your wit and
wisdom, so please don't hold back from posting more often.

This isn't a phantom limb, it's metaphysical therapy. The more you
flex your posting muscles, the stronger you'll get!

And if you don't (a threat!) ... with Steph off sick and Barneca
taking a leave of absence, well: how can we survive? Pretty soon I'll
just be babbling nonsense at myself. (As opposed to my usual trick of
just babbling nonsense.)

Great to hear from you again, Pink!

Thaumaturge's response speaks for me, too.

Like you, she has a nice way with words.

All the Best

Quite so; 234 viewers in the last five hours, whereby I suspect that
isn't 234 persons but rather 234 clicks to view further.
Maybe Dave can explain.

But it is great to hear that Pink is around lurking in the wings.

Hi there,

I, too, am skulking around. I've just been so darned busy lately --
did a 21 hour day last week, still haven't recovered -- and felt I had
nothing remotely useful or interesting to contribute.
Do keep talking, everyone. We're all still listening!

Hi Stressed Mum

I see that we now have TWO Stressed Mums!

So, when you reported that you 'did a 21 hour day last week' did that
mean 10½ hours each? Or what?

As you may know, we also have two Brudenells (who reportedly never
speak to each other) and two Omnivorouses ...

Or should that be two Omnivori?

Tryx, Katharine & Larry (who know about such stuff) will doubtless
provide a ruling.

It would also be nice to see some other duos, to help spread the load.
Possibly Martin and Lewis, Laurel and Hardy, Abbott and Costello?

Also, two, three or more Pinks (possibly of different shades?) would
be great.

By the way, have you seen the photo of Pink that has just appeared?

Not ignoring things here, just skulking.

Former computer went the way of all aging decrepit things and am now
just getting this new one up to speed. Still have a couple of
programs to load.

Luckily I do keep decent backups.

Then, end of skulk.

I've popped in occasionally as well, but not posted.

Been a little unwell, but when fit enough I've been busy updating some
of my history website which has been neglected of late. A rather
laborious process of identifying the latitude and longitude of all the
villages and towns in Essex and then linking them to Google Maps. Not
the most exciting job in the world!

There is only ONE Pink, and it should remain that way: no neon pink,
no pale fleshcolored pink, no odd shades of computer-generated pink.
(That is a ruling, as requested.)

I trust that my coadjutatrices Tryx/Meredy and Thaumaturge/Katherine
will confirm this decision.

I do confirm it.

Pinks other than Pinkfreud should only be seen on flowers and sunsets
and things like that, IMHO. Not on houses, cars or clothing and NEVER
on websites! ;-)

Well, I might make an exception for pink Art Deco houses in Palm Beach
or somewhere in the Caribbean.

Actually, this is test. Until today, when I access GAAA, I could
click on "new messages". The counting never seemed to agree with the
sum of the new messages for the topics, but today, there seem to be
no - NO - new messages,
so I am posting one to check the system.

Cheers, Myo

Hmm, my posting was immediately there, but even after a couple of
minutes clicked out of GAAA, there was still no indication that one
had been posted, beyond the fact that this topic was at the top of the
list with Myoarin as the latest poster.

Has Google eliminated this function?

Hmm, again.
When I just clicked "back to discussions", it showed "2 new messages"
on this topic, but when I exited and returned, there was nothing.
