Just thought I'd toss up a line as a new kids on the block. Saw you
guys at the Con and had always been a fan of the minis line, so after
chatting with Jay i did an impulsive buy on Nomads lol. Should have my
force up in a few weeks (plus assembly time), but in the meantime
hoping to get a few matches/observations under my belt.

If you're a 40k player you have prob seen me around at tournies as the
guy with the blue/while/gold Eldar.

Welcome Rob! It is great to have you with us!

Rob is a great sportsman and an incredible mini painter. And he plays
Nomads!

I will be teaching Rob Infinity on Wednesday, March 2nd, at 6:30 at
Valhalla's. Everyone is welcome to come. If you are new and want to
learn Infinity, this would be a good opportunity to check it out. If
you don't have models, yet, let me know in advance and I will see what
I can do. I know Luke and his brother frequent Valhalla's. This
could be a good opportunity for your first game with us!

I will be at Valhalla's on Wednesday as I have the night free and could use a game or 2...

should I bring 250 or should I bring something smaller?

Could you make a 150 and 200 point list? I know that it's harder with
Aleph, but hopefully you can do it with that unit Brad was using at
the con.

Yeah I saw the forums and have been poking around up there. Their forums are a little strange though since they don't seem to be in chronological order.

No, when you first log in, it doesn't show the forums the way I am used too.  It shows all topics in order of when there was a post last on them instead of by category.

Holy crap, my army already came in! I ordered the whole thing friday
night at it arrived today, minus the one item that was on back order.

These models are INSANELY detailed. I'm a very detailed painter, so
I'm use to looking closely at my models and I have to say I think
these models beat out 40k models hands down. Soooo stoked to start
assembly though wow do the Spuniks/Zonds look intimidating to
assemble.

It's quite a possiblity that I could have a 250-300 army up in a week.

Awesome to hear!  I love fast delivery!  They are UBER detailed!  I can not wait to actually get painting on mine...

Coolness!

If you have any trouble constructing your remotes, post on the
official forums and someone will help you out.

After our matches I realized how incredible Reaktion Zonds are so I
ordered up a pack of Sputniks and Zonds for a kit bash that I think
will come out killer :D

The actual zond remotes kits don't look even close to what the
Reaktion zonds should look like in my mind.

You know me all too well :)

The shear assembly of these nomad remotes is going to take me several days. Incredibly complex models, but totally worth it!

Bah, I can't decide on what to do for my damn basing and it's holding
up any progress from being made :/

Kinda like the urban theme of sidewalk/cement but it's not the easiest
to do, I'm too cheap to buy bases, and it seems rather common for
Infinity.

Might I suggest looking over the bases at http://dragonforge.com.  I am actually sculpting for them now and their bases are amazing!  I have a 40k army and a Warmachine army based on their stuff.  My line will be releasing in a few months, but please support them and I will let you all know when my set comes available online!
