Subject: Dropping in
Hi, I haven't been spending a lot of time on the computer for quite the
while now. My right arm has been bothering me for quite a while. I went to
the doctor this morning and I have bersitis in my right arm. He is sending
me for therapy. It is also bothering my shoulder as well. I have a ton of
emails to go through, so I do a little each day. I'm hoping to start therapy
early next week.

I did go to the music festival that I went to last year. I had to sit in the
rain on the Friday but I still had fun. We are going back next year and with
a little luck my arm will be back to normal.

Well I'll close for now and will pop in again.
Anna

    Hello Anna,

Conversely, we've been on the computer almost all day every day -- partly because we've had r'r'r'rain'n'n  on and off every day since it began on July 5.  If it rained on the 10th, we missed it.

Princess Linda had a medical procedure on the 3rd, and her Mom passed away rather suddenly on the 5th -- in Pensacola.  We didn't go to the funeral because it would've been at least 12 and a half hours on Greyhound buses, each way, with the gide dogs.  Princess's 3 half sisters and her son and daughter handled everything.

We did lunch out yesterday with friends, former co-workers of mine who live some 20 miles up the road.  Then we did a bit of miscellaneous shopping.  Yeh, rain in the morning, rain at night, and rain overnight.  We're doing lunch out tomorrow with a couple, neighbors downstairs.  Friday Princess has the follow-up appointment with her GYN.

Oh, I don't know how I'd possibly handle anything like you have.  I don't handle pain, I don't swallow pills, and needles and I are as foreign as green beans in my life.

The owner of the dogs' groomer company gets talking books, listens to them, and then donates them to the public library here.  Last week we got into talking about TV.  I told him we don't do TV because we don't se, but read talking books from NLS.  He gave half a dozen audio CD books to our groomer fella for us,and we can read 'em and then we donate them.

The owner of the company, Lee, said he doesn't find anything nice on tV anymore, and finds entertainment   in audio books.  He said that some of his office people have also taken up reading audio books.

Wishing you all the best with your arm and the therapy!

            Art.

Just so anyone sighted doesn't get the wrong idea/impression about blind people
in general - I do watch TV, and use the term 'watch' it just happens to be done
a little differently in my case - by listening. But I would get so offended and
still get very annoyed whenever someone not familiar with the fact that blind
people are first and foremost, people, just like them. People used to start to
talk about my watching TV, and then suddenly they'd start backtracking to
correct themselves as if they had just called me a nasty name: "Did you watch -
er, sorry, sorry, I mean - listen to (insert TV show)?" ARGH! I watched it,
okay!?

I still watch TV, but look for things that IMO are interesting, and that ain't
easy with all that trashy so-called *rolling eyes* - "reality TV" shows on.
They're staged and as fake as the day is long with tons of melodramatic showing
off by the participants thrown in. I detest the critics/judges on the
talent-search type shows, they need to shut up, get a life, and learn to enjoy
what they're listening to or watching or both..

I haven't time to read audio books, not with all the reading I do online, and
other online activities. Between that and other stuff offline, I just haven't
much time or interest in reading audio books, though I wouldn't mind getting
them as downloads off the www. Before I had the comp, I did read talking books
quite a lot. Now, there just isn't enough hours in a day to fit it all in.

It's been raining almost everyday here as well, even during the Stampede, which
made staying home a little more bearable on the days I didn't go down to the
grounds. The day I did go, it actually was sunny all day, and unfortunately I
have a burn to show for it. :P
