In order to avoid chaos in the morning and to ensure the safety of all
students, please be aware of arrival and dismissal procedures for
Fishkill Plains Elementary School.

Between the hours of 8:30 - 9:15am and 3:15 - 3:45pm, no cars are
allowed to enter the parking area in front of the building.

Anyone dropping off students in the morning must use the farthest
entrance located on the bus garage side of the building.  Parents
should drive down towards the garage and loop around, ultimately
dropping off students at the door to the All Purpose Room.

Please be reminded that children who are transported by parents in the
morning may not enter the building prior to 8:50am.  Students who
arrive at school prior to this time must remain outside at the Main
Entrance, as there is no supervision for students before 8:50am.

If your child is tardy (after 9:00am), please note it is the
responsibility of the parent to come into the Main Office and complete
a tardy slip so student is not marked absent.  Kindly do not send your
child in to complete this task.

Any parent who needs to enter the building prior to 9:15am must park
in the lot at the opposite end of the building (near the gym).  Please
remember any adults entering the building must come in through the
Main entrance doors.  Adults may not enter the building through the
side door. All Adults must sign in with the monitor at the front door
entrance.

Dismissal is at 3:40pm.  In the event it is necessary for parents to
pick up students at the end of the school day, you are asked to please
sign out your children in the office by 3:25pm.

Following this procedure allows all children the advantage of a safe
and complete academic day.

REMINDER:  IT IS UNLAWFUL TO PASS A STOPPED BUS ON SCHOOL PROPERTY
WHEN BUSES ARE LOADING OR UNLOADING CHILDREN
