Greetings,
We had great fun on our Blue Heron walk two weeks ago. I thought it might be nice to take a small group on a fern walk. We will hike about 1 mile in Annursnac Hill Conservation Land and identify ferns on our walk. Ferns are amazing plants and just another way to marvel at the mysteries of our natural world.
Want to come? Great. We will be walking on Thursday morning, July 10th at 9am. We will finish at about 10:30 am. Drop off will be at the top of Annursnac Hill Road. I will be waiting on the road at the beginning of the trail head. If there is bad weather, I will email everyone by 8 am that morning, but right now the prediction is good weather. Please wear a long sleeved shirt, long pants and closed shoes (no sandals). I will have bug spray to apply before the walk, but you will need to check your child carefully for ticks after the walk.
I can take up to 10 kids (5 years and up), so please RSVP if you can make it and I will send you directions. I am also hoping one other adult will join us on the walk.
If you can't make this RE adventure, don't worry. I have some other ideas for other weeks.
Hope you are enjoying your summer.
