Hello everyone

I have created a system DSN with the controler ORACLE in XE, the test
connection of windows of this DSN works ok, but the connection in
ENSEMBLE with this DSN doesn't work. Too i have test the connection
with a JAVA application and with TOAD i don't have any problem to
connect with this DB.

Anyone can help me to solve the problem??? Thank you in advanced.
Regards,
Arturo

What's the error you getting?
Have you specificied the credentials needed for the dsn?

Hi Neerav,

The error is the following:

----------------------
ERROR <Ens>ErrOutConnectFailed: ODBC Conexión fallida para 'CORAL2_BD_LOCAL'/'PORTAL_ID' con error ERROR #6022: Gateway: DSN/User Connect falló.
ERROR <Ens>ErrFailureTimeout: FailureTimeout de 15 segundos superado en Operaciones.BBDDOperaciones
---------------------

Yes, we do. We specificied the credentials.

We have two identical databases on two different servers (A and B). In B also is installed the
Ensemble server. When in Ensemble is configured to connect with database on server A, it works.
However, when configuring the DSN for database on same server (B), it not work.

Regards,
Arturo.

There certainly is a configuration issue here

Did you create the dsn on same machine for the db, does that connect?

I would verify the IP address, port etc
I hope you are not trying to use localhost for local db

If nothing is evident than you can always ask your network guy to see if an attempt was made to connect and at what point it failed
They have the information in the network trace
