The opponent of the corrupt Karzai regime in Afghanistan, Dr. Abdullah
Abdullah said he will not go forward with the runoff election on
November 7th unless the corrupt Karzai officials who helped rig the
first election are removed from Afghanistan's Independent Election
Commission (IEC) that runs the runoff election.

The response of SoS Hillary Clinton (aired on CNN just now) is to say
that if Dr. Abdullah won't participate in the runoff, that is not
relevant to whether or not the runoff is legitimate and that it is
common for candidates to withdraw from elections. I.e. Secretary of
State Hillary Clinton is endangering our US troops in Afghanistan by
propping up an illegitimate government in Iraq and allowing the Karzai
government to conduct another rigged runoff election rather than
insisting that the runoff be conducted in a clean manner as Dre.
Abdullah has insisted on.

Horrors. Is there anything we can do to help the situation at this point?
