back.

My wife has a photograph of the AM cars on the Grounds of Midvale Depot at
Wayne Junction Awaiting Scraping.
So there has been a period without trackless trolleys that dates from the
contruction of the new Frankford Transportation Center when, due to
construction, these cars went out of service.
But this summer, car 800 arrived in Philadelphia for testing of a new
generation of trackless trolley cars to be used on Routes 59, 66 and 75 in
North and Northeast Philadelphia.
"2007 Philadelphia SEPTA New Flyer trackless trolleybus #800 vehicle
testing 8/22/07 at Frankford & Solly Aves. under CSX bridge using electric
power during vehicle testing." This is a crucial test as there was
concern that these trolleys might be too high for this bridge. In the
background is the oldest bridge in the United States, the bridge over
Pennypack Creek and Pennypack Park.
