Four women were killed and another two injured in a car crash, police
said today.
The six were travelling in a Vauxhall Corsa on the B4560 near Ebbw Vale
in south Wales when the accident happened.
No other vehicles are thought to have been involved in the accident
which took place between Llangynidr and Beaufort before 9.20pm

Work began today on on laying tracks for a new passenger rail link
between Cardiff and Ebbw Vale. Trains last ran on the route in 1962.
There will be 18 miles of upgraded track and six new stations at Ebbw
Vale Parkway, Llanhilleth, Newbridge, Crosskeys, Risca and Pontymister
and Rogerstone. The stations will include a range of facilities

Work is to begin on laying the tracks for a rail link between Cardiff
and Ebbw Vale - which it is hoped will boost one of Wales' most
deprived areas.
It has been 44 years since the last passenger train ran in the area.
