I have posted online a test version of EasyTask 2.0 for the Mac.
I've been using it for a few days and haven't had any major problems
(like loosing data). But remember to always be extra careful. To
backup your data, make a copy of the folder Your home folder ->
Library -> Application Support -> EasyTask. If you need any help
backing up your info just let me know. Don't forget to do it!
This update requires Mac OS 10.5 Leopard. I'll be releasing 2.0 for
Tiger shortly.
New things on this version:
- New 3-panel view
- New syncing with iCal. Changes made are reflected inmediately in
iCal.
Important: To enable syncing with iCal check the Preferences. You will
need to re-enable iCal sync.
- Quickly add tasks from any application by pressing Option+Command
+Rigth Arrow (will add option
to change this default key on the next update).
- Alarms are now supported. You'll need to have iCal Sync enabled.
- Plus many other minor fixes and additions.
I've downloaded EasyTask v2 for the MAC & it seems to work fine.
Thanks - I really like the 3rd panel.
At one time, you were talking about making some significant changes to
the Online Sync feature - are any Online Sync changes included in v2
for MAC? (I can't test yet since I still need to upgrade to Leopard on
the 2nd machine I want to Sync with).
Also, I notice that when I attempt to sort by 'Due Date', it doesn't
seem to perform a sort - this had been a problem under Version 1.9
also (sorting by any column other than 'Due' works fine) - any
insights?

Can I suggest trying the syncing with another user on the same
machine?

- Supports syncing Projects instead of Contexts with iCal (new option
on the Preferences window)
- Fixed problem when 2 projects have similar names
- Application saves split's sizes (outline and preview panel)
- Fixed many problems with the Online sync (tasks not syncing,
creating duplicates, etc)
- New version cleans iCal when updating from ETM V1.x
- Many other bug fixes with iCal sync, outline selections, etc.
Please let me know if you have any problems.
Thank you!
