Look out Mitch Palmer! It's a restaurant review face off.
I went to the new breakfast and coffee shop on Fatherland and 7th
today. It was killer. Really great menu - your standard breakfast
fair, some hippy granola selections, and your swankier breakfast items
grace the menu. And they have Drews Brews, which is becoming a
requirement for me. I had the Breakfast Burrito and can't say enough
good things about it. I also tried the egg sandwich and it was great,
as well.
It's a comfortable atmosphere inside and out. We sat outside in the
shade and it was actually pleasant. Our service was outstanding, too.
This is a great addition to the neighborhood. Reasonable prices, mucho
tasty, and a cool place to go without breaking the bank. Check it out
neighbors!

We biked down there on Monday from the 1400 block of Eastland and ate
breakfast. It was good. I had a bagel with cream cheese. They
didn't have the blueberry I ordered, but that was fine, I had cinnamon
and it was good. I also had two eggs and bacon. The bacon wasn't as
crispy as I like it despite ordering it crispy, but then I like it
crunchy. My eggs were good, and tasted like they were cooked in the
bacon pan. Yum. I had a fruit smoothie. My friend had the Tuscan
eggs and said they were good, along with a cup of Drews Brews. The
owner's sister waited on us and we had a delightful view of a
neighbor's garden which is to die for. It was a great morning, good
food and we'll definitely be back as it was affordable as well. The
lunch menu looked good and I'm looking forward to trying it out
soon.
Welcome to the 'hood Sky Blue. We're glad you're here!

We also visited Sky Blue this weekend-- awesome! I had the grilled
cheese and veggie chili, and even on a hot day it was delicious. Very
kid-friendly, too. Cozy and friendly-- the kind of place where you
really want to be a regular.
I told my husband during our lunch that the next time I whine about
wanting to live in a small town, he should remind me that we kind of
do.

I don't know what time they open, but do know that they are closed on Tuesdays.
I've eaten there twice thus far, the food is really good. I also went in for a fresh fruit smoothie which was good as well. And the owners (including sister and daughter) are super nice.

When we were there we were told they open at 7 am and table service
stops at 3 pm but that they would continue to have carry out til 6 pm
from the coffee bar. We were also told they were open 7 days a week
which is nice. I'm not sure why David is saying they are closed on
Tuesday unless something has changed in the last week?

We walked the dogs past this place last night to see what their hours
are and were disappointed not to find the hours posted anywhere, a
mistake the former wine bar also made. Let's hope Sky Blue lasts
longer than the wine bar did. When we go in to try it out, I'll
suggest to them that they post their hours and a menu in one of the
windows.

everyone has to say they'll make changes as they go. I expect someone
will post official new hours soon. If not, I'll be happy to oblige,
'cause I could use a smoothie anyway...
