You can receive messages via email -- in individual emails or in digest emails that combine multiple posts -- or you can read the listserv online.

The first time you post to the listserv, your message will be held for my approval. We've moved to this system due to the significant amount of spam that otherwise comes through onto the list. I manage this list on a purely voluntary basis, so I don't approve new messages every day. I try to do it a couple times a week, but there's no guarantee provided here. If your message doesn't show up right away, it just means I have not approved it yet. Please do not post the same message multiple times. This just slows down approvals for everyone.

I highly recommend that you post as soon as possible -- about anything! -- so that you will be recognized by the system as an approved poster on the site. Inevitably someone waits until they have to invite the neighborhood to a real estate open house the next day, or the day before their yard sale, to post. If I don't happen to get around to approving posts that day, well then you miss out on telling 2000+ people about your event.
