Tammy Gordon update -- good news!

I was doing the drive from D.C. to St. Louis yesterday so I didn't have
a chance to post this news ... my apologies.

Thanks to all of you for praying for Tammy and Brian Gordon as Tammy had
her double mastectomy yesterday (Brian, as you will remember is one of
our diocesan contact for Bethlehem). The report from Brian is the
surgery went well and, as best as they can tell from the lymph node they
took out and tested that the cancer has not metastasized to any other
parts of her body. The surgery is still traumatic and there is a long
way to go, but yesterday could not have gone better.

To quote Brian:

"Thank you for all the prayers, kind thoughts, positive energy and
affirmations, I'm not sure we could have managed without them all!"
