Prime Minister Stephen Harper recently invited President Mohamed Manji to a private roundtable of community leaders organized by the Conservative Party of Canada on September 15th 2008. Conservative Party candidates have held numerous non-partisan meetings with community leaders this election campaign. Participants at the Prime Minister's roundtable were impressed by President Manji's comments on the importance of fostering pluralism. Prime Minister Harper is excited about the upcoming Golden Jubilee visit of Hazar Imam, and has asked senior cabinet ministers, including Secretary of State Jason Kenney, as well as Conservative caucus chairman Rahim Jaffer, to work towards making the visit a success."
