Our client within the Courier Industry is seeking a Customer Automation Technician for a 3-month contract with the possibility of extension.  This opportunity is located in Scarborough.  This individual will be responsible for travelling to various off-site locations to attend to client hardware/software issues during a major systems rollout.  Below is listed the details for your review. The client is currently in the process of a Canada-wide project in which they are migrating DOS applications to MySQL.  They are looking for an individual who has customer facing experience in enterprise environments, and have worked with printers, preferably thermal-printing technology and have experience with XP, internet browsers, Apache or MySQL.  This person will be based out of Scarborough, but will be visiting client sites across the GTA on a daily basis.

Responsibilities:

·       Provide on site servicing of Client Shipping System hardware / software, and client requirements within assigned territories

·       Install, remove, and demonstrate Client shipping systems in conjunction with the Quality & Training Specialist

·       Drive quality and automated solutions while ensuring 100% integrity of billing data is maintained

·       Support Internal Desktop, Proprietary and ARC systems as required

·       Operate a service vehicle to client sites, meetings, etc.

·       Perform other duties as required

Requirements:

·       Community college diploma or equivalent experience

·       Excellent customer relations skills

·       Knowledge and experience with DOS / Windows NT/95/98/XP required

·       Advanced knowledge of PC based computer hardware and software including networks

·       A+ certification is Mandatory

·       MCSE certification preferred

·       Experience with Apache, MySQL, PHP and Network Security an asset

·       Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Windows software

·       Class G drivers license or equivalent is a must

·       Must be able to lift and carry computer equipment in and out of client sites, depots and repair centers
