1. I have already included Script Manager at the top of aspx page.
2. I have already added the reference of ajaxcontroltoolkit in the bin folder.
3. Have added HTTPModule & HTTPhandlers.

That doesn't make any sense at all ! The username and password would
be passed from the UI and it seems very weird for them to be used as
OUTPUT parameters. Further, the @id and @pos variables seem to be
lying unused.

Maybe the EqualityComparer is taking time ? You haven't told us what
the "List contains" !

SortedList is very slow during adding/removing items because the
entire list is resorted (in addition to checking for uniques), but
better duing searches.

I've done a bit more digging and it seems that app.config is mainly
intended for settings that are changed rarely, and the nature of the
settings I am using is that they will probably change each time the
application is run. Also if I'm being honest having found some code
snips that show how to use app.config I can't get them to compile.

Hi there;

Do you have ScriptManager at the top of your aspx page. Do you added
HTTPModule and HTTPHandlers in web.config, have you aaded the reference of Ajax
control tool kit dll to the bin folder of your application. If yes then it
should work and if not I have to go through the code.........
