Noon This Friday - Press Conference at 26-44 Crown Street

Dear Friends:

Please mark your calendars for this Friday at noon to meet in front of
the endangered Crown Street buildings to launch our petition for there
preservation and protection.

Kathleen will be contacting residents and businesses on the TGSSD
list, Doug will contact Downtown Management Team people, John Herzan
will coordinate participation by the New Haven Preservation Trust.

You are all welcome to use the attachment below to contact people in
your network who would take an interest in joining us on Friday and
helping with the petition now and in the next few weeks.

Kathleen Krolak, John Herzan and I will be creating a simple, one
paragraph petition. It will be addressed to the city, asking for their
help and assistance in protecting these buildings. I have given Tony
Bialecki, David Barone, and Steve Harris a heads up about our plans,
and they understand that the petition is not a criticism or challenge
to the city, but a formal way of demonstrating public concern and
interest in these historic buildings. Tony and David are continuing
their efforts to find documents we have requested.

Mary O'Leary of the Register and Sarah Vanderbuilt of the Independent
have started work on the story and will be there on Friday. I'll
contact the Advocate, too.

Look forward to seeing you Friday. Working together has already moved
this issue a long way.
