Scouting Volunteers: Happy holidays! Don't forget that the district's nomination deadline for awards presented at the district dinner is just under one month away on January 15. The e-mail below provides information on how to recognize volunteers in your unit with an award for their hard service to the youth in your unit. Links to the PDF version of all applications may be found at www.del-mi.org/dinner/. Thank you again for your service to the youth of Hamilton and Tipton Counties. Your dedication is truly appreciated. Yours in Scouting, ______________________________ Please join the district as we recognize the 2008 Eagle Scouts, Unit and District Volunteers, our District Award of Merit recipients and our Silver Beavers, John Harkey and Jeff Sutton. Adult Volunteer Recognition Attention Scouting Volunteers! The links to PDFs of recognition applications listed below are made available for your use. The applications are for adult leader recognition at the annual awards dinner. Please take this opportunity to recognize your unit volunteers who have displayed valuable service to our local youth. There are two types of award applications: one is for self-recognition, and the other is for nominating others for an award. Please note the tenure requirements for many of these awards. A Scouter can submit his or her own application for any of the training awards listed below, or another person can submit the applications on behalf of someone. Only the applicant can file the Veteran Award. All other recognition items are service related and require nomination from another person. The service awards can be bestowed upon a Scouter in any part of the Scouting program. The District Award of Merit is the highest award a district may grant, but we still need nominations from you! (Links to PDF versions of all applications may be found at www.del-mi.org/dinner/.) ALL UNITS: TRAINING AWARDS Packs: Troops: Teams: Crews: OTHER AWARDS: If you have any questions regarding any of these awards please contact our District Advancement Chair at your convenience. In order to acquire the awards for presentation at the Annual District Dinner on March 12, 2009, all applications and nominations must be submitted by the January 15, 2009 Roundtable . If you have submitted anyone for an award, please have that individual at the District Dinner. We always wish to recognize all of our great volunteers among peers. Remember, without your applications and nominations, we cannot recognize our Scouters! Thank you in advance for your cooperation!
