May is Bike Month! Here's what's going on and coming up in and around Culver City;
Expo Line Opens, April 28
It's true... the long awaited Expo Line will open for business on April 28, at least to the La Cienega Station. We're hoping to plan a group ride to the station via Ballona Creek and be among the first to ride the new train.
Please join CCBC in celebrating the opening of the Expo Line on Saturday (at least to La Cienega). Led by Dino Parks, CCBC will meet at the Ballona Creek entrance to Culver City High School at 9:30 AM. The route to the La Cienega/Jefferson station is entirely off-street via Ballona Creek and the new Expo Bike Path. Bring a bike lock so that you will be able to secure your bike at the station while you ride the train!
Like the route? Make it part of your regular commute downtown starting Monday.
More info on planned festivities, including live entertainment, food trucks, and a block party in downtown LA on 7th Street:
