Cuba’s independent libraries are often criticized as having very small
collections. One reason for the small size of these collections is
their experience of police raids and confiscations. I read through the
reports of visits to independent libraries by members of Pax Christi
of the Netherlands, which has made visits and donations to the
independent libraries one of its ongoing campaigns.

Critics of Cuba's independent libraries have found fault with the
small size of their holding. One reason for this is the experience of
police raids in which hundreds of books are usually seized.

I've updated my analysis of these events, to include the translated
text of the reports of Pax Christi Nederlands travelers to several of
these libraries.
