Dear letter writers for intellectual freedom in Cuba:
A flood of messages on this subject will be coming to you from this
source, like a swollen river in China or Iowa.
The messages of the next ten days are caused by the resolution
proposed for consideration at the ALA conference beginning June 26 in
Anaheim.
If the messages are all too much, PLEASE do NOT drop from this Google
Group, because your letters directly to Cuba do have a positive
effect. If the messages are too much, simply delete them. I will
provide them to you to show the arguments of those who would leave the
prisoners in their cells, and also the arguments for their release as
prisoners of conscience.
I did not send out my usual June quarterly appeal action because I
have been too busy working on this ALA resolution effort – as well as
an Amnesty International USA lobbying campaign to close Guantanamo.
The resolution will follow momentarily, in my next message.
