Thanks for sharing that story. At 54 I feel like I'm a late starter too. I did learn to do 3-ball toss juggling when I was a kid, but never got beyond a few basics. But CJ just caught my eye last September and I've been playing ever since. I've been mostly using a 4" stainless steel ball, because it's so easy to work with, but I'm trying to switch over to 3.5" acrylics now, because they look better.

I HIGHLY recommend getting 2 or 4 spinning balls.
Chinese Excercise balls work great (chiming or non chiming - metal or
marble) for spinning.

I find that spinning helps relax my hands and mind and helps with my
rolling.

Thanks for posting your story.
If you have any other stories or questions let us know.

 Hi Guys,
I saw a college kid doing a couple simple contact juggling tricks
about four years ago. I was 61 at the time and my hands shook badly.
If I dropped something or knocked something over, I could no longer
catch it like I could when I was a kid.
I started juggling. Contact juggling and three ball juggling. For me

The idea of moving under the ball helps, instead of trying to rely entirely
on gravity.
At the moment my ball of choice is a 4" hollow stainless, but I have a 5"
one as well. Both are very light (about 170g and 190g respectively) and
this actually helps with the rolls. I'd love to get something about 50%

I can consistently get chest rolls with small balls but still can't get
behind the neck rolls with larger balls at all.
I'm with Rich on this, anyone have any tips?
-Michael

 So did that help?
Did it make it any easier?

I was working on behind the neck rolls this weekend and used this same
advice. I wish I could say I nailed it unfortunately I made myself
dizzy instead.

For the behind the neck roll I have found it helpful to look the other
way of the ball.
So if you are rolling from your left hand behind the neck to the right

This is a straight forward question but a tricky one.
I will answer it the best I can.
I started to learn Body Rolls by using a much bigger ball. I started
with a basketball to get the idea down.
I was doing all outside rolls, top of the arm, or back of the hand.
How ever you want to say it it starts on the back of my hand and ends

 Thanks Timm,

I am glad you enjoyed the LegacyCd and I am still working on the
project slowly. I want to redesign it so that I can get more
LegacyCd's out. The Legacy Ball is a bit trickier and that redesign
may take a little longer.

Rich Shumaker
