earth day Transportation Committee�notes 12/12/07

1. Earth Day is April 22, but the Columbus Earth Day event will be April 26, 2008.
   
   
2. The event this year will feature 40�50 volunteer worksites and an event in Goodale Park from 12�7pm.
   
   
3. The theme of the event is �Now, Get Busy!�
   
   
4. The Transportation Committee will set its own meeting agenda and Meredith, as committee chair, will report back to the other committee chairs at weekly meetings.
   
   
5. The Transportation Committee is charged with three primary tasks:
   
   
   1. Creating a �Alternative Transportation Village� with booths of companies and organizations for and about alt transp

1. Getting volunteers from worksites to the park

�������������������������������������������������������������� i.����� We will soon have the addresses from which to organize carpooling, bussing�or whatever�from the sites.

1. Handling parking at the park

�������������������������������������������������������������� i.����� We have 60 spaces at which to park cars. We can restrict those spaces to people who, for example, drive hybrids or carpool.

������������������������������������������������������������ ii.����� There are forms Tad has in his possession that we�ll need to fill out. We can check with the Master Binder at the next meeting.
