USS LST 325 is a WW2 vintage 2366-ton LST-1 class tank landing ship
which was built at the Philadelphia Navy Yard, Pennsylvania.
Commissioned in February 1943 and is still sailing - attached is a
photo of her radio room.
Her original NWVC call sign can be heard on 500 kHz during tests - as
she did when sailing pro Boston, MA a few years ago when I visited
her.
On the amateur radio bands, you'll probably hear the beautiful sound
of her CHOP - R/O Perry Ballinger - sending flawless and beautiful
Morse with his Vibroplex bug.
Also is attached a picture of Chief Operator R/O Perry Ballinger /
W8AU at the MILL typing out a message.
