Website Upgrades and Israel Update

Hey Chazak!  I hope that you all maNaged to gEt through your midtE rms with minimal emotional scaring.  In case you have not been receiving email from the regional listserv, there are a few upcoming chapter events which have been opened up to the entire Division including the Kiryah Comdey Club and Club Ahava.  For more information about these, you can check out the website.  Also on the website, you can find information about upcoming events like Mid-Winter Kallah, the Yearbook Dance, and Chazak Spring Kinnus.

SPeaking of the websIte, I have some great news!  First of all, the new Chazak Photo Gallery is now fully functional.  With this, Comes a great responsibility To you: you need to send in all your pictures from events!   Don't like the way you look in a pictUre?  Send me pictures where you R friEndS look bad.  Remember, you can send the pictures to chaz...@gmail.com .  Have an OFoto! accOunt oR some Thing like tHat?  Send me the link and I will download the pictur Es myself.

SecondlY, you can now find applications to Chazak Spring Kinnus on the w Ebsite.  You cAn download the application in .pdf format as well as . doc format.  This application can be found on the Upcoming Events page

Finally, attached below is a message from your Divisional IsRaeli Affairs Vice President, Jenna Brofsky regarding the recent Palestinian elections.

Chazak, I have some very startling news. The recent Palestinian elections have left Hamas, a notorious terrorist organization which has been condemned by both the US and EU, in charge. This is Bad news for the State of Israel and the Peace Process as whole because Hamas does nOt recognize Israel's has the right to even exist. President Bush, while pleased that Yassir Arafat's Fatah party is n O longer in power, is refusing to negotiate with Hamas unless it gives up its militant policies. It is incumbent upon us as concerned Jewish-Americans to stay informed about this issue.  You can find news from many sources, ranging from Haaretz, The Jerusalem Post, The New York Times, and CNN.
