Subject: cost of gear
Hi

I need some new kit for the new season

I've been to a leading supplier in this country and found their prices
to be rather inflated.  I looked at the prices from a leading supplier
in Alaska for the same gear and found that their prices are
considerable lower.  I know there is duty and Vat to pay, well in fact
most of these things fall below the duty rate so that leaves only VAT
postage and packaging.

Not sure how the rest of you may be fairing under the current
economical situation but I find it hard to justify a rise of as much
as 42% on equipment just to line someone elses pocket.

Is their a supplier in the UK or Europe where I could go direct.

thanks

We use the following supplies for our kit:

Culpeppers for collars and waistbelts.  all the kit can have an embroidered patch attached with a name and telephone number.  The waistbelts have bungees in the line.

The range of Manmat kit is available from a UK source, they don't have a website but you can email them on coolhu...@hotmail.com.

Also have a look at the www.snopeak.com website, for more Manmat kit.

I hope these are of use to you.
