Mitch Altman is a San Francisco based hacker/ inventor and one of the
founding members of the hackerspace Noisebridge. He recently bought a
45-day Amtrak USA Rail Pass and is starting "Hackers on a Train 2012"
nationwide tour. Starting in San Francisco and rolling into New York
City, Mitch is conducting workshops in cities with hackerspaces (or
forming hackerspaces) in cities nearby Amtrak stations. CT Hackerspace
will be one of his stops, teaching his Electronics Workshop on
Thursday, July 19, 2012.
Mitch has taught thousands of people to solder and make cool things
with microcontrollers in his workshops at hacker spaces, hacker
conferences and schools almost everywhere.
If you have ever had any curiosity about making something with
electronics, then please join us. Anyone and everyone can learn to
make cool things. It’s fun ..And easy! You can learn to make something
cool with electronics in one workshop, and take your project home with
you! Mitch's workshops have been enjoyed people of all ages. (Children
are also welcome, however the level of interaction by participants
under 18 can only be determined by the participant’s guardian.)
