I have read a book called
Shattered Dreams by Dr Sami AlArian; a Palestinina political prisoner
of the US.Dr Al Arian was a professor at the University of Florida
before he was accused of aiding terrorists by the Bush regime.

He is now in federal prison though he was acquited of all charges. He
was forced to plead guilty to a lesser charges in a plea deal that
allowed him to be deported and to not have a retrial The judge instead
gave him the maximum allowed and he is still in prison. Buying
"Shattered Dreams" will show how anyone can be swept up in the
aftermath of 9/11 so called patriotic zeal which has allowed civil
liberties to be dealt a crippling blow.
I have a letter from Sami from prison I keep in my copy. His family's
ordeal has been shown in a documentary.
