BOOK IDEA

Hi everyone,
I know that the focus of our book group right now is upon the current
Iraq
invasion and horrid war that came out of it and I have been doing a
lot
of reading on the subject and their own home prior to the war. Iran as
well would be a great place to discuss may issues. I really enjoy
reading about how different cultures carry on, whether in the worst of
best of times.

I am currently reading a book by Fatima Mernissi called DREAMS OF
TRESPASS: TAKES OF A HAREM CHILDHOOD and would like to
put it out there for an idea of a book to cover by the CodePink book
group.
At first I didn't really think I would enjoy this book because Harems
really never interested me, but as it was nominated for a book store
discussion group, I decided to give it a try. It is remarkable in its
tale of how harems came to be and how they differ from each other;
many sociological and
feminist issues are involved here as well.

I just thought I'd put it out there for you all to look up and see
what you all think.
