Hey all:
I hope you are having an excellent first week of 2011! I know many of you who attended GYC last week came back refreshed, renewed, and ready for action.
In keeping with our goal of beefing up our group to be a more empowered group of young people, we will be adding some new features to the way we learn and grow. This month for Sabbath School, our topic is Marriage and Family. However, instead of having the standard type topical group discussion we normally do, we will have special guest speakers to share with us each week.
The Family Life Ministries team at Reaching Hearts International has agreed to help us. Each Sabbath this month, a different married couple from our church will share with us their personal testimonies, how they met, fell in love, and got married, and provide some real life guidance on family life. So many times we learn things in the theoretical sense, but here we get to hear from and talk to folks who have already been there, done that. And are still learning and growing themselves.
Also, our resident chef will be creating for us a hot breakfast this week! Kishon will be cooking up something amazing.
For those two reasons, please be sure you come to Sabbath School this month! And on time! Early even. Food will start before 10. And we wouldn't want our guests each week to be sharing with the walls. They are taking time out of their Sabbath to spend time with US! So let's treat them right. Bring your ears, and your questions.
