agitating for social justice and a radical shift in the status quo? How
about radical independent media and activism? If so, please join the Women's

She'll be speaking about using indie media for Third Wave Feminist,
grassroots activism.

Melody started The F-Word as a senior at Temple University. Now in it's 3rd
issue, it was a 2006 Utne Reader Independent Press Award nominee and has
featured interviews with people like, comedian Margaret Cho,
musician/activist Peaches, artist Alix Olson, author Michelle Tea, and teen
activist Shelby Knox. The newest issue - the Outlaw Issue - features
interviews with historian, political scientist, social critic & activist
Howard Zinn, and Kate Bornstein who you may know from her radical work to
dismantle gender binaries and her books Gender Outlaw: Men Women and the
Rest of Us and My Gender Workbook.

Melody is very excited to meet young activists, feminists, queers,
non-queers, and radical people in general here at AU.  Hope to see you all
there!
