Description: Discussions between players of BuddhaWheel

flag Hello and welcome!
We look forward to chatting with anyone who has anything to chat about! Please feel free to discuss the rules of the game, its philosophy, our take(s) on Buddhism, odd things that happen when playing, or anything else you feel like! No limits - as long as it's friendly. And as long as it's OK to use your ideas from here to improve the website, which... more »

Small update to rulebook
I've updated the rulebook again to match the current printed copy: [link] The only change is "imagine" your God Realm or Hell Realm, not "make up". Just to make it clear you should try to get into it, not just mouth a quick few words! Cheers.

A few questions
A couple of questions came up while Jonathan and I were playing over the weekend (BTW, we both made it to Buddha, and are both extremely pleased with ourselves!) 1. When an action (such as entering the spiritual path or meditating) depends on having a dedicated card of a particular colour, does that include a... more »

Just ordered BuddhaWheel today
Yesterday BuddhaWheel was added to the BoardGameGeek.com database. Today I noticed it, and saw the link to the official BuddhaWheel site, and from there I found the link to The Monastery Store and ordered it (I live in Brooklyn, New York, USA). Spirituality is my number one interest in life. I also enjoy... more »

BuddhaWheel FAQ - How do Gods & Hell Beings get cards?
These questions were asked by Susan & Martha. ...If you die without any cards in your Karma stack, at your next turn you have to throw the dice to decide your next rebirth. Sometimes this will be the Hell or God realm and you will only get one move, but sometimes it will be one of the other realms - and you will then start... more »

What is the Subtle Path?
A player asked us: Dear Emily & Steve, What is the "Subtle Path"? I don't remember coming across this term before. Would entering the Subtle Path be equivalent to becoming a Stream-Enterer / having an experience of non-duality i.e. the Transcendental? Awkward question - sorry! - but could be useful in... more »
