Subject: Reminder about Adult Registrations

In the last few weeks I uncovered 2 units where the Cubmaster was incorrect in ScoutNet.  One unit had no Cubmaster. Scoutnet is the main information for registration and council mailings and is also forwarded to the publisher for Scouting and Boy's Life so the correct magazine inserts are received. It is important that we have the correct information.

Many units have changed leadership at Blue and Gold time and with the upcoming end of the school year.  If you would like a report showing your current registered adults and youth, please e-mail me.

If you have had a leadership change, simply submit an adult application form for the new position. No money is due. Bring it to Roundtable or mail it to the Council Service Center. Remember, adult leader applications must be signed by the Unit Committee Chair and either the Chartered Organization Representative or Executive Officer. Unit position codes are:

CC-Committee Chair

MC-Committee Member

CR-Chartered Organization Representative

CM-Cubmaster

CA-Assistant Cubmaster

WL-Webelos Den Leader

WA-Assistant Webelos Den Leader

DL-Den Leader

DA-Assistant Den Leader

TL-Tiger Den Leader

PT-Pack Trainer

SM-Scoutmaster

SA-Assistant Scoutmaster

Please note that the position codes are different for Tiger/Wolf&Bear/Webelos. Every current leader of a Bear den should submit a position change at the completion of the school year when their den becomes Webelos. This allows us to communicate in the fall for Webelos to Scouts communications directly with the Webelos leaders. This years Tiger leaders also need changed to Den Leader/Assistant Den Leader at the end of the school year.

Special Situations:

If you need to appoint a new Committee Chair and the current Committee Chair cannot sign the application, then the Executive Officer signs the Committee Chair signature.

If you need to appoint a new Chartered Organization Representative and the current COR cannot sign the application, then the Executive Officer signs the Chartered Organization Representative signature.

Remember, everything that you correct in ScoutNet now, or when there is a change in your unit, is something that you DON'T have to worry about at rechartering time.

Please contact me directly with any questions (rl...@columbus.rr.com <mailto:rl...@columbus.rr.com>  or 614-848-4816).

Since we haven't got our Charters yet. How do we verify?

Ron,
I would greatly appreciate a current report.  We haven't had anyone (OK, only one) step-up yet towards next year and this would help us demonstrate all the help needed.  Plus, I'm not sure where a report copy is anyway.  Please email it as I never make it to Roundtable due to teaching at night.  And unfortunately, only random representation from our pack at Roundtable (thank goodness for Don Norcross who does occasionally make it).
