A walk with the dog from 4:30 to 5:45 did not get me very far. I
walked along the river past the canoe launch and down the ruins trail
and then out on the asphalt path. But there was a lovely group of
Savannah Sparrows in the grass next to the asphalt path on the way
back to the canoe launch. Also a very handsome White-crowned Sparrow
on the dirt path along the river just past the canoe launch. A
Kingfisher on the river. The Yellow Warblers were too numerous to
count. Many Song Sparrows. Tree swallows were pestering a small
raptor, not sure which one but directly over the top of the hill.
Baltimore Oriole male with nesting material, Eastern Kingbird, and a
Warbling Vireo or two..
