I'm unable to understand what is objectionable about
maoistresistance.blogspot.com. As Anoop points out, it is just a
collection of news stories.
I'd also like some confirmation of what happened to Bimal CK. Any
news item about this police action against his hard disk? Did it
happen because of maoistresistance.blogspot? If so, why? Apart from

Shivam/Anoop, I would partially echo Dilip in this regard. I hadnt
even looked at this thread until now. So thanks for the reminder. I
will also look at the blog now. But even if they called for an armed
struggle in the name of Maoist ideals, I would support their right to
talk about it.
If you remember, when this group was formed, a lot of the blogs

Disappointed by the lack of enthusiasm of Indian bloggers on regular attacks
on freedom of speech and direct and indirect censorship, the comrades are
now taking a spin. Now, all that the blog
[link] does is gather RSS feeds from various
news outlets and other public sources about CPI(Maoist) and put it on a

I see that nobody on this list has expressed outrage at this violation
of a blogger's birthright of freedom of speech! I am not sure if I can
argue free sppeech for someone who calls for "armed struggle" in the
name of Chairman Mao, but hey, what happened to the supportes of
absolute free speech on this list! Does the state have a right to define the relationship between ISP's and
their customers? I think freedom of speech is an absolute right, with a
state having minimal role in defining its scope.
Nothing seems to be severe as long as our own blogs are not blocked.
Anyways, in this case, the page has been restored *again* after I complained

ISPs have their terms of service. The site's owners can choose to
host elsewhere with better terms of service -- it's not as severe as
having your primary connectivity ISP blocking stuff.

 Hi,
I am surprised at the silence and lack of reaction on this bit of news.
This is a lawfully registered magazine in India, whose website has been
blocked by google, because Indian Government asked google to do so. How can
that be justified? Or is it that banning blogs and websites are okay as long

From today's New Indian express, Kerala edition, I read the following
article. From what I know, people's march is a registered magazine, and
freely available not only in stalls in south India, but also in prominent
libraries in New Delhi. If the magazine is not illegal or banned, why was
its website and blog banned by google?
