Subject: Another Black Witch Moth!!

Dear Mr. Quinn:  I emailed you recently about a large Black Witch Moth we had in our open barn - a first sighting of this moth for us, and exciting too!  Unfortunately my husband has not had time to send you the diggie photo he took of this female moth.
However, about l0 days ago, we had a smaller Black Witch up under the carport in front of our house, but after one sighting, it disappeared.  No picture this time.
Sunday I discovered a Horrid Zale in perfect condition with outspread wings while I was pruning back a clematis vine on the front of my house.  Never seen one of those either.
This evening I saw what appeared to be a bat in my neighbor's yard flitting up under her eaves before dark.  Investigation found another huge 6-1/2 inch Black Witch Moth on a rusty window screen.  We took another picture, this time with my hand next to it to guage size.
I HOPE I can get my husband to send the photos, but thought you might let me know if other people are reporting numbers of this moth family.
  Thanks, Lynne Stilwell
