Three dead, 10 missing as storms rage in notheastern Poland*

WARSAW, Aug 21 (AFP) Aug 21, 2007

Three people were dead and 10 were missing on Tuesday after violent
storms swept over northeastern Poland, local police said.

Winds reached 80 kilometres per hour (50 miles per hour) in Mazuria
during the afternoon storms, overturning several boats in lakes in the
region frequented by vacationers.

"We are looking for the owners of those boats," local police spokeswoman
Anna Siwek said.
