Record heat hits Czech capital*

Thermometers in central Prague reached record temperatures on Sunday
afternoon, hitting 34.6 Celsius (around 94 Fahrenheit), the national
weather office said.
The record was around a tenth of a degree higher than the previous high
dating from 1928.
Temperatures across the Czech Republic are expected to soar even higher
in the next days, sparking warnings from health services.
