Canadian Chopper crash decapitates pedestrian*

A HELICOPTER crashed in an urban area in western Canada today, killing
three onboard and decapitating a person on the ground.
Witness Elmer Bautz said he watched the helicopter fly around for a few
minutes before it plunged to the ground in Cranbrook, British Columbia,
and burst into flames.
"It actually touched the pedestrian and I think that's when it
decapitated (him)," Mr Bautz told the Associated Press.
"It pulled him about 20 feet along after it hit."
Mr Bautz said several people tried to help pull people from the wreckage.
Other residents said the helicopter was flying about 30m above the
ground before it went down.
Transportation Safety Board spokesman Bill Yearwood said the pilot, two
passengers in the helicopter and a pedestrian died.
Mr Yearwood said the helicopter had been hired by British Columbia Hydro.
